EAST COAST SWING ~FOUR WEEK INTERMEDIATE SESSION THURSDAYS, 7-8 p.m., Beginning September 4th East Coast Swing - In it's early days was also known as the Jitterbug and Lindy. The most popular form today is Triple Step East Coast Swing, which can be danced to the oldies, country and top 40's music. It is danced with a "bounce" called lilt. It is very grounded and not high in the knees. Single Step East Coast Swing is danced to Big Band Music. The dance rotates in a free flowing circle. If you would like to learn more technique and patterns for this fun and energetic dance, you will have an opportunity in September with a four-week class series on Thursday nights from 7-8 p.m. This will be a small group class and the cost will be $12.50 per person. However, to get this price you will have to sign up for all four weeks. On a drop-in basis the cost will be $15.00 per person. We will quickly review the basics of the dance but it is expected that you already know these. One night's class will be devoted to single step swing. BEGINNER LINE DANCE CLASSES EVERY MONDAY NIGHT 6:30-7:30 P.M., This is a great way to exercise and have fun dancing without a partner. Easy popular dances are taught. Cost, $10.00 per class. Drop in only, no need to sign up.
